Panchakarma Therapy

Panchakarma Ayurvedic Detox Treatment
What is Panchakarma?

Panchakarma is the most powerful detoxification and rejuvenation therapy in Ayurveda. The word "Panchakarma" means "five actions," referring to five specialized therapeutic procedures designed to cleanse the body of toxins (Ama) and restore balance of the three doshas - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.

Panchakarma not only detoxifies the body but also strengthens immunity, improves digestion, enhances mental clarity, and promotes overall well-being.

Why is Panchakarma Needed?
  • Removes deep-rooted toxins from the body
  • Balances aggravated doshas
  • Improves metabolism (Agni)
  • Strengthens immunity
  • Prevents chronic diseases
  • Rejuvenates body and mind
The Five Main Panchakarma Therapies
1. Vamana (Therapeutic Emesis)

Vamana is a controlled vomiting therapy primarily used to eliminate excess Kapha Dosha. It is beneficial for respiratory disorders, allergies, chronic cold, asthma, skin diseases, and obesity.

2. Virechana (Therapeutic Purgation)

3. Basti (Medicated Enema Therapy)

Basti is considered the most important Panchakarma therapy for balancing Vata Dosha. It involves administration of medicated oils or herbal decoctions through the rectum. It is highly effective in arthritis, back pain, neurological disorders, and constipation.

4. Nasya (Nasyam Therapy)

Nasya involves administration of medicated oils or herbal preparations through the nose. It helps treat sinusitis, headaches, cervical spondylosis, hair fall, and stress-related disorders.

5. Raktamokshana (Blood Purification Therapy)

Raktamokshana is a blood detoxification therapy used to treat skin diseases, gout, inflammation, acne, pigmentation, and chronic wounds.
